ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Shad. I am a software engineer and a super fan of everything 80s. I grew up in the 80s, and I truly believe it to be the best and most influential decade in modern history.
The 80s Vault is making its debut and it is growing, so check back often for my latest projects. From neon-soaked music television to local weather graphics, arcade energy, analog hardware, and the unmistakable sound of a VHS tape spinning up, this site is my way of keeping that magic alive.
THE MISSION
The 80s Vault was created to recreate the entertainment, technology, and atmosphere of the 1980s. Rather than simply displaying information, the goal is to faithfully reproduce the experiences that millions of people remember.
Every project is built with authenticity in mind, preserving the look, feel, and behavior of the original broadcasts, hardware, and software whenever possible.
FEATURED EXPERIENCES
MTV recreates the classic Music Television experience with authentic music videos, station bumpers, and vintage commercials.
The Weather Channel recreates the iconic weather experience using today's live weather data while preserving the graphics, music, and presentation of the 1980s.
NES Console brings the 8-bit living room back to life with a curated game library and keyboard, touch, or gamepad controls.
The 80s Vault is an ongoing project, and additional retro experiences will continue to be added over time.
